At the Brookhaven Learning Center, licensed by the Vermont Department of Education. We offer residential and day students a therapeutically oriented educational curriculum that fully complies wi th all Vermont standards. Our specially trained teachers and support staff utilize a diverse set of teaching strategies to meet the goals of each child’s Individual Education Plan.

We provide a safe place for students to develop and practice social skills through classroom activities and cooperative play. Educational expectations are tailored to accommodate each student’s emotional needs.

Our philosophy is to encourage inclusive learning through experiential activities and supported academic exploration. By modeling and encouraging respect, accountability, honesty, and cooperation our dedicated teaching staff fosters positive self-image and peer interactions in combination with academic growth.

A key element of our program is the careful collaboration with our internal interdisciplinary treatment team, parents, families, guardians, sending schools and other agencies to provide support and wrap around services for our students.
